Summary/Abstract: The growing fascination with the Internet, computer games and TV results from revaluations taking place in the culture connected with the fall of the domination of the word’s cultural for the image’s culture. Television screen and computer monitor are common sources of entertainment and partner for play. It creates many threats to the integral development of children and their upbringing. It does not establish only the attitude of young people, but rather the personal characteristics, it interacts stronger than the designs and models submitted in the usual way by parents or teachers. It does not only inform but shape the life’s views and attitudes. Television and computer speak the language of totality, i.e., word, sound, images, movement, affect the mind, imagination, feelings of a young man.The article takes up the problem of rapid-fire culture’s impact on the child. The paper presents various negative effects such as physical, social, psychological and cognitive of the excessive use of the products of the so-called “rapid-fire culture” by children and youth.
