Summary/Abstract: The article deals with certain aspects of teacher–learner interactions in foreign language didactics. The teacher’s authenticity, being reflected in the attitude towards the learners, may strongly influence the learners’ behavior, interpersonal relations, opinions, general and language competence, as well as may facilitate the very process of learning. Therefore, to broaden the knowledge of certain aspects of teacher–learner interactions, this article refers to investigations of C. R. Rogers
