Parenting Style in a Family as a Source of Pupil´s Self-Concept.

Summary/Abstract: The aim of study was to explore relationship between pupil´s academic self-concept and parenting style in his family. Research methods: Parenting style questionnaire by J. Čáp and P. Boschek (1994) and Self-concept of ability questionnaire by U. Engler and W. U. Meyer. Research sample: 128 pupils of primary school in the age of 12-14 years. Results: Statistic analysis confirmed significant differences in pupil´s academic self-concept in term of existing emotional relationship and educational management in family too.
