Pedagogical Activity of Ľudovít Štúr.

Summary/Abstract: The most significant personalities of modern Slovak history include Ľudovít Štúr. Štúr is perceived primarily in connection with his political activity, the efforts for national emancipation, but well as in the context of historical, philosophical, linguistic. The ambition of study is to provide a picture of his activity in the pedagogical context, because fundamental initiatives in this area became the starting point for the realization of the idea of independence of Slovak nation in the 19th century. Štúr creates educational system, which include more important aspects: content, organizational and formal, didactic, practical-realization, and can be described as a paradigm. Educational system was formed on the basis of Štúr philosophical approach and his the direct experience of with an unfavorable socio-historical period. The author wishes to evoke proper attention the professional and general public on the lesser known area of Stur's historic appearances at a time when a recalled two hundred years since his birth.
