Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the legal socialization of adolescents. Legal socialization is the process by which the individuals adapt to existing legal norms in society. This process takes place most intensively in the period before the age of majority. Then are formed the main elements of the legal consciousness – cognitive, psychological and behavioral. As long as every individual is changing under the influence of social environment and the behavior is a product of this environment it is necessary to be examined those models and patterns of behavior which significantly affect the formation of adolescent behavior. Legal socialization is looked at as a part of the broader mechanism of impact of culture on the legal-relevant behavior. Legal norms and legal values take particular significance in that process. The study is dedicated to analysis of concrete empirical legal-sociological studies conducted in the transformation period.
