Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses educational failures of primary school children in Poland. Two groups of pedagogical determinants of educational failures were distinguished: the first one lies in the school system and the teacher‘s didactic-educational competence. The author quotes results of researches, which confirm the analyzed issues, in order to present broader aspect of affection of these determinants. The final part of the paper includes preventive actions and general outline of pedagogical exemplifications of minimizing pupils‘ educational failures, which once introduced in praxis can strengthen pupils in experiencing the school success.
