Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the data we obtained on the basis of a survey conducted among the workers who work on the protection of archive materials and registration materials outside archives in Serbia. Data refer to some issues relevant to the technical and professional capacity of staff in the Department of protection of archive material. There are presented some suggestions of the workers employed in those activities, which would, in their view, the work of those services more efficient and more economical.
