Social consequences of gentryfication – case study of Poznań settlement Jeżyce

Summary/Abstract: Gentrification usually accompanies the process of natural regeneration of citycenters. In theory it is synonymous with ennobling socially degraded areas, but in practice, itcan cause social problems and even leads to spatial problems. The examples of the negativeeffects caused by gentrification are visible in Jeżyce, the administrative settlement of Poznań,which after almost ten years since the renewal process started, can still be called a crisis area.
