Summary/Abstract: The case law of the European Court of Human Rights has repeatedly emphasized that a number of concepts set out in Article 6 have autonomous meaning under the Convention. An example of this concept is the phrase "criminal charge" used in Article 6, Para 1 of the ECHR, which is analyzed in this report.
