Summary/Abstract: We present how Tigran II the Great tried to reorganize the province system in further divisions. It was found that the final province was created by Tiridate the I-st, so that before its collapse the Armenian state was divided into 190–195 districts, 15 provinces and 4 pitiashkhity.
