Summary/Abstract: In 1967, as a result of plowing the land near the village of Vyisokoe were discovered the ruins of the temple and stele with Greek epitaphs. The last represented the gravestones established in the second half of the XIV century. The fact of their detection convincingly testifies in favor of A.L. Bertier de la Garde’s assumption of existence in the XII—XIV centuries of active communications between inhabitants Kermenchik's district and the Byzantine Сherson.
