Summary/Abstract: Agrarian Party of Russia (Agrarnaya Partiya Rossii, Аграрная Партия России, АПР) during the period between the disintegration of the USSR and year 2008 was one of the longest operating on the political scene of Russian Federation. The creation of party focused on peasants’ interests took place in Russia under conditions of radical change of the political-social system after disintegration of the USSR. The paper presents the abbreviated version of the outline of history and political thought of APR from the moment of its emergence until its practical disappearance of Russia’s political scene. Not much was written about Agrarian Party of Russia in Russia itself, let alone in world. It is worthy to point out that the APR was one of few parties that in a clear and unambiguous way referred to peasants and their mentality – more post-soviet than agrarian in the traditional sense. It was also one of the broadest and mass parties, with considerably well-build field level structures.
