Summary/Abstract: The article gives a review of the scientific conference “The way of life and lifestyle: philosophical and sociological aspects”. The course of the conference, some of the main thoughts given by speakers are discussed in this article. The philosophical way of living, the relation between theory and practice in the philosophies of Heidegger and Aristotle, life as the value, theories of values and virtues, the conception of phenomenon of villainy in the philosophy of A. Maceina, the ethical and social philosophy of J. Bentham, myths of life, the idea of learning to die, tango dance as the way of life, subculture of hipsters, street fashion, the lifestyle of enlightened persons and obscurants, the value of holiness and living of ancient Lithuanians were analysed in the conference.
