Summary/Abstract: The relevance of research. World business practice shows that to achieve the competitive advantage it is advisable to use tools of benchmarking, which allows you to use experience of their competitors who have achieved success in various areas of activity. Especially important is using of benchmarking in the field of innovation, particularly in the ICT sector, which has become a key factor in economic growth and productivity in many countries. The purpose of research - development of methodical thesis’s and practical recommendations for the implementation and use of benchmarking technology in business management system. The object of the research is the business management system. The subject of the research is the benchmarking in business management system. This article applies to major types and stages of benchmarking, justified use of benchmarking concept in business management system; methodical and practical recommendations on the introduction of benchmarking in the IT sector of the Republic of Belarus. The practical significance of the work: justified the creation of a national benchmarking platform that will enhance innovation activity of IT companies and will contribute to the formation of closer links between IT companies, industrial businesses and governments.
