Summary/Abstract: One of the many famous aphorisms that have been plucked out of Wittgensteinřs Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus is ŖThe limits of my language are the limits of my worldŗ. The present paper aims to point out how language perpetuates gender stereotypes, stereotypes that are not only descriptive, but also prescriptive, telling us how we should behave, how we should talk etc.
