Summary/Abstract: This article is a brief presentation of the aspects of magic and mystery as important features of the feminine characters in Mircea Eliadeřs prose. It emphasises the importance of this kind of aspects in Eliadeřs work and the way these concepts influenced his way of building his feminine characters. The feminine characters are studied in their deepest thoughts and actions and they are also viewed throught malesř eyes Ŕ all these being analised from different points of view.
