ARON COTRUȘ’S POEMS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE CONNOTATIONS SPECIFIC TO CULTURAL IMAGOLOGY

Summary/Abstract: The paper entitled ˮThe Poetry of Aron Cotruș Approached in Terms of the Poetic Connotations Specific to Cultural Imagologyˮ expands upon those symbols and intuitive images related to the concept of cultural imagology. Those symbols are the shepherd, the country, the Romanian folk song, the carols, all subordinated to the national messianic creed. They are all related to the idea of continuity through Cotruș' identification with the Romanian ancestral spirituality. In this way, Cotruș has located us on the axis of myth which symbolizes the never-ending ascent towards perfect spiritual communion.
