Summary/Abstract: Heterotopy generates viable representations in Fanus Neaguřs writings, being filled and sustained by the mythical aspect of the topos. The five novels can provide contexts for identifying some universal myths or certain myths pertaining to the Romanian ethnomythology. By shaping both religious representations and symbolic geometrizations, or by combining the concepts of vulgarization and magical, topic representations provide the idea of a symbolical and mythological complexity. Social, political and historical realities can be considered both causes of despiritualization, but also effects of this process, as the space where these actions take place suffers, in its turn, various mutations. Therefore, we can prove that modern and archaic myths create a highly tempting tandem when it comes to literary approaches.
