The Cycle of Service Stichera to Prophets, Martyrs and Saints in the Octoechos

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the cycle of stichera devoted to the prophets, martyrs and saints in the Octoechos according to eight manuscripts from the 12th to the 14th century. On the basis of linguistic and stylistic analysis it is assumed that the literary work was composed by Clement of Ohrid or by his disciples. The text of the stichera of eight modes is published in accordance with two manuscripts of the 13th century: Zagrebski and Bitolski Octoechos.
