Summary/Abstract: Gala Galaction and Ion Agârbiceanu are both authors interested in religious themes. This article aims to analyze, in terms of comparison, the short stories ,,From us, to Cladovaŗ ŖDe la noi, la Cladovaŗ? and ,,Popa Manŗ. Tonea, the character of Galaction, and Man (Emanoil Manovici), the character of Agârbiceanu, are priests involved in ardent loves. Their actions, their thoughts, their inner life are situated between the call of responsibility and sin. Tonea is more honest with himself than Man and also more forceful to banish the strong chain of rude passion. The conflict between morality and immorality ends in a different way. The sin of Tonea remains the sin of thought, but the sin of Man become a game of masks
