Summary/Abstract: This paper speaks about the different views and the different meanings of truth, examining the modern, contemporaneous novel of Nagy István and Augustin Buzura. One of them was a fighter for the Ŗnew eraŗ, the other an opponent of it. The modern man does not have the right to judge or to condemn, as we will see, because every age has its policy, theory, and desire.
