Summary/Abstract: When teaching effective vocabulary, there are some steps to be taken in consideration. Talking about ways of acquiring knowledge, information can be stored in two ways: linguistic and nonlinguistic. Nonlinguistic representations are known as having very high impact on student achievement. They can be identified as graphic organizers, pictures, physical models, mental images, and kinesthetic activity. Besides analyzing nonlinguistic representations and observing the advantages they offer, along with the drawbacks, the paper offers some ideas on how to make use of certain digital tools to increase the above mentioned aspect.
