Summary/Abstract: The author of the present paper analyses the newest discovered facts about the history of the church in Różanka. This history is related with the noblemen and the Maecenas family of the Pac. The parish of St. Peter and Paul in Różanka was mentioned for the first time in 1522. In the middle of the 17th century, the new stone building of baroque style was erected there. In 1668, the building was dedicated by the title of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, St. Peter and Paul and by the name of St. Nicolaus and Stanislous. The last successor of the possessions of Różanka appointed to rebuild the church. In 1824–1828, the fabric was reconstructed to the neogothic building by the project of the architect Henrico Marconi (the fit-out of interior continued until 1830). The fabric of the church was designed under the influence of late English and Italian Gothic, as well as the local traditions of constru- ction were used. The Pac’ heraldic badge Gozdawa was placed on the façade. The architect used the newest technologies for building, such as Portland cement. Marconi did not touch the old baroque plan of the fabric, although new neogothic elements were used in the interior’s organic whole. In 1925, Michał Rouba and Kazimierza Adamska-Roubina decorated the interior with the wall paintings.
