Argument: What Influences Irish Writers? From Yeats to Present

Summary/Abstract: This is a large section of a paper I gave at the University of Oradea 24th May 2013 for their Seminars in Anglophone Studies though I hope that there was more humour and wit there than I have managed here. I have had to edit out the last section of the talk because to do justice to the writers and you the reader would have necessitated a very much longer paper something in the order of three times longer. For this reason I have kept to the main idea of what has influenced writers and have not continued to look at writers like Heaney here.
