Summary/Abstract: The Lied, as a chamber music genre is perhaps the most complex and difficult form of music from both the point of view of the level of emotional involvement as well as of the affectivity level. Interpretation is a resultant fusion not only of literary text with the musical content but also of the merge between the two artistic personalities that form the duo, the pianist and the singer. The whole process from deciphering the musical text and literary meanings up to the final act of interpretation itself has a wellestablished trajectory with precise coordinates and if this process suffers any alteration, shall invalidate the minimum requirements of the standard of performance. Having regard that musical interpretation is an art and a discipline at the same time, of such complexity and with an extremely high standard for effort required, subjects which work in this field and reach a high level of performance are prone to have a very strong will and desire, doubled in conditions of public exposure by a high level of self-discipline. These individuals build the act of interpretation following always as well as the literary text and musical one but also having as a permanent support and guide its own emotional capability. The passing through the personal emotional filters, the vast array of feelings display dictated by the content of written score, the appeal to emotional memory of the interpreter with the exercises for mastering the exteriorization of different degrees of sensibility, are methods extremely effective in building the interpretation act.
