Summary/Abstract: This work tries to emphasize the importance of the XIXth century with regard to the Romanian literature and its process of modernization. There are various definitions of the literary language as well as many theories of its evolution process. The first part of the XIXth century plays a significant place in the process of modernization because during this period are published important works in order to establish the rules of a unique literary language.
