An Approach to Structural Analysis of Programs

Summary/Abstract: The structure of computer programs is usually analyzed in the context of a particular programming language and the respective programming paradigm. We propose that a general, language-independent understanding of structure be used instead, based on concepts most fundamental to computation. Several such concepts, along with a set of properties and relations of structural nature are considered.
