Summary/Abstract: MOOC or massive open online course has emerged as one of the most important online tool for enhancing the knowledge of both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This term originated in 2008 in an overcrowded e-learning environment. Students and working professionals can now upgrade their knowledge by joining these courses and make their alternate academic online profile. The paper focuses on the technological dimensions of one MOOC course from a famous technology education company, Edx, in order to examine how lifelong learners’ in Indore perceive the notion of an online learning environment as compared to traditional teaching. It also investigates how online education can enhance classroom training. The research structure is represented by three proportions: (a) lifelong learning in association with open education, amidst effective learning tools; (b) personal knowledge management (PKM) skills approach; and (c) the efficiency of web-based learning models.
