Problems of sustainable development in Poland in the context of resources effective using

Summary/Abstract: This paper includes three parts divided thematically. The first one concerns the problems connected with the economic growth treated as the synonym of exact development. There are presented alternative conceptions of economic development in the context of resources effective using. The second part regards issues related to sustainable growth but especially on the local level. Associated with the mentioned above, there is a need to emphasise the value of inhabitants engagement and responsibility for sustainable development of regions. The third part of this paper presents the chosen aspects of sustainable development basing on Poland regarding especially practical opportunities in realizing the sustainable development.
