Effectiveness as a criterion of choosing financing models of development investment in mining

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a problem of financing development investment in mining. There are basic reasons of financing process, that is cost of capital and risk and there is also an influence of financing investment models on its effectiveness. The paper refers to the specific features of development investments in mining and a difficult financial situation of mining companies in Poland. The presented methodology enables an investor to make a quick and efficient, multi-variant assessment of investments and to choose an investment solution adjusted to individual preferences of mining enterprise (in terms of cost of capital and risk) and the one that effects the investment effectiveness in the best way. Currently, such solutions do not exist in mining enterprises.
