Summary/Abstract: The conclusion that the left-wing electorate has been, to a significant degree, replaced, may be reached on the basis of the exit poll data gathered during the 2010 Presidential elections. Attracting new electors, who replaced those lost to the Citizens’ Platform or those who follow the Left and Democrats but do not vote, Grzegorz Napieralski obtained exceptionally high support among the youth, including those who voted for the first time. Among the electorate of the Democratic Left Alliance’s chairman, three groups of voters may be singled out, whose conduct in previous elections confirm the thesis that this group is politically diversified. Voters over 60 years old constitute the Left’s most loyal electorate, while graduates of up to 39 years old preferred to vote for the Citizens’ Platform in 2007, rather than for the Left. On the other hand, 44,7% of those with primary and vocational education who supported Mr Grzegorz Napieralski in the first round cast their votes for the Law and Justice candidate in the runoff voting.
