Summary/Abstract: This paper attempts to give substantial detail to the linguistic description of the Latin lexeme admodum. A thorough analysis of the lexeme’s syntactic and semantic features leads the author to the conclusion that admodum is a grammatically polyfunctional lexeme, since it can be used as (1) contextual asyntagmatic lexemes (yes, indeed, by all means), (2) marker of gradation: a. marker of intensity (very); b. marker of completeness (definitely/fully/completely, etc.); (3) at the same time, admodum can also function as an marker of approximation (about, around, etc.)
