Summary/Abstract: The CAD / CAM systems for weaving are professional software for design of woven fabrics and for manufacturing technology. These systems are successfully used in the process of training the students, at all levels of study, on topics regarding structure and design of woven fabrics. At each level of training can be used effectively, certain sequences and functions of the software. The directions for use of the software ArahWeave for studying the woven fabrics structure, are presented in the syllabus of course „The structure of woven fabrics”. The topics that can be studied, using these programs, are: structural characteristics of the woven fabrics, correlation between the structural characteristics of the fabric, the weaving plan, use of databases.
