Summary/Abstract: Consulting the press reviews about the film Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola after Mircea Eliade’s novella, we can divide the reviewers into two categories: those that watched the film but did not read the novella, and those that watched it and are familiar with the novella, as well. The former spoke about the film against the background of the director’s previous motion pictures. The latter identified the main themes of the Romanian writer, successfully transposed into film. In our paper, we will exhaustively and statistically deal with the reception of film in the media and other applied studies in Romania, France, Italy, USA since 2007 when the movie was lunched at the Rome Film Festival to present day.
