Summary/Abstract: Zagańczyk cites and comments on the history of the making and a socio-political context of Andrzej Wajda’s "Rough Treatment", the film she places in the trend of the cinema of moral concern. Wajda seems to concentrate only on a private history of the divorce of a couple, but each element of the story, characters and events may be regarded as allusions to the political reality of the Polish People’s Republic of the 1970s.
