Summary/Abstract: In the paper are investigated problems concerning the 14th с. version of the List of the prohibited books, which was spread out in Russian copies. The first group of the copies are related to a common origin, presented in a manuscript of Chudov’s collection, N 269 from the forties of the 15th c., State Historical Museum, Moscow. In the text are reflected characteristics, which are connected with the activity of Metropolitan Kiprijan – rearrangements of the contents of the list (addition to the names of the prohibited books) and some changes in the description of the liturgical practice. The analysis of this group of copies bears out that Metropolitan Zosima is not the author of this version. Liturgical and church rules in this version are paralleled to the works of the Russian Metropolitan Fotij (1410–1431). In the text of the other group, with the earliest copy in MS N 112 from the Bodleian Library, Oxford, also has been cited the Prayer-book of Metropolitan Kiprijan, but the witness continued a written tradition which is based on the compilation (probably Russian). This version is not connected directly with Chudov’s version, or with its protograph. Two versions are witnesses of a new edition of the List in the 14th с. with very interesting revisions in the text due to a new mentality in Russia in the end of the 14th – the first half of the 15th с.
