Summary/Abstract: Most often associated with the field of physics, the term relativity actually covers a much wider range of manifestations, be they physical, cultural, linguistic or ontological. This paper aims to reunite some of these manifestations, looking for the relationships of influence or common causality between the doctrines of two grand names related to the concept of relativity: Albert Einstein and Benjamin Lee Whorf, showing that significant affinities exist between the two systems of thought, as well as that Whorf based his own ideas defining the relationship between language and thought on the principles generated by Einstein.
