Summary/Abstract: The initial values for the research were: students motivation for adopting new teaching class content in Islamic religious studies subject and students attitude towards modern media in teaching process. The subject of this research is raising students motivation in adopting new teaching content and developing positive working climate in the class. The aim of the research was to find out whether the use of modern media such as short movie (video record) and power point presentation increase the students motivation for active participation in teaching process, and to what extent the use of the same improve the quality of learning. Further, we examined the attitude of students towards using these media in Islamic religious studies class in order to evaluate justifiability of introducing the same. The analysis indicate that the introduction of short movie and power point presentation in teaching high school Religious studies class is justifiable and that it enhances students motivation, thus resulting in better understanding of the content of the Islamic religious studies. In particular (when applied in II teaching hour) students demonstrated active participation in the class during the hour of teaching unit “Believing in Allah-Tawhid”, higher quality of students interaction among themselves, interaction between the teacher and the students as well as between the students and the teaching content.
