Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to consider the meaning of employee involvement in practical functioning of European companies. The basis for this evaluation will be not only legal provisions but also practical operation of European companies in the market. This will allow us to learn about the level and scope of employee involvement in corporate governance at the transnational level, and to determine whether this is in fact the future direction of development of this type of governance. The considerations will be carried out utilizing literature review and comparative law analysis as methodologies. The analysis of the legal framework will be complemented by an empirical approach that is necessary to identify the European companies operating in the market.
