Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is a detailed analysis of semantic and syntactic features of deverbative and deadjective nouns at the modern German language. Different semantic groups of deverbative and deadjective nouns are allocated. The article describes the concept of “deverbative noun/deverbativ” and “deadjective noun/deadjektiv”. The views of researchers on syntactic derivatives problemareanalyzed. The article is aimed to give a detailed analysis of the views of researchers on the problem of syntactic derivatives. The analysis revealed that the derivative nouns are formed by parts of speech indicative of semantics – verbs and adjectives – are characterized by a dual nature and heterogeneous semantics. Deverbative/deadjective nouns explicitly express the action or the quality indicated by the verb or adjective based on derivatives. The remaining components of the statement imply the formative unit. The dual nature of semantic and grammatical is syncretism or interaction in nouns derived categorical values action/quality and objectivity. Verbal values of deverbative nouns and quality values of deadjec-tive nous are ontological, that is inherited by them from producing words. Substantiality (subject) values of deverbative/deadjective nouns acquired by them in the process of derivation. Particular attention is paid to the description of the functioning of the German deverba-tive/deadjectivenouns and as primary and secondary parts of the sentence. Deverbative nouns acting as subject or object referred to in the statement of action, characterized by a concrete subject semantics. Deadjective derivatives in a subject position function as Causer. Occupying the proposal direct object position, deadjective nouns designated an object of speculative world, who directed the action. Prepositional deverbative/deadjective nouns perform various adverbial functions: time, cause, mode of action, etc.
