Summary/Abstract: Inclusive Simultaneity - a Possible Theological Definition of the Relationship between Word and Image. The relationship between the word and the image is an old topic of the theological reflection. In the 20th century, fathers Nikolai Ozolin and Dumitru Stăniloae put forward two phrases that might be able to define this relationship: analogy and complementarity and reciprocal interiority. This study analyses these two phrases and suggests a third, a mediating solution, which could balance them out without annulling them: inclusive simultaneity.
