Summary/Abstract: A fundamental transformation of the organisational structure of the Czechoslovak intelligence service took place in 1969. The hitherto Directorate of Intelligence was reorganised and “promoted” to the Main Directorate of Intelligence. The organisational change affected not only HQ but also intelligence units located in regional cities and towns.
