THE NOSTALGIA OF DOINAŞ FOR THE APUSENI MOUNTAINS

Summary/Abstract: The lost paradise of childhood and nostalgia for the home village represents another aspect of Ștefan Augustin Doinaș’s poetry. In his creation, the poet integrates with ease and in a brilliant manner the Romanian village within the universal. In this paper, I focus on the lyrics in which the poet, novelist, playwright, translator, essayist and journalist Doinaș speaks about the city life and countryside, the nation emancipation and by assimilating elements of nature, he gives voice to elapsed time, the real and surreal, evoking the universe.
