Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the changes that have occurred in the maternity leave, parental leave and paternity leave in Poland in the years 1989-2016. This article is an attempt to present the implementation of the directive into Polish legislation. The European Union Directive on parental leave (2010/18/UE) came into force in Poland in 2013 and analysis focuses on the changes after 2013. The work is based on the results of Polish and international studies and analysis of the literature.
