Summary/Abstract: As far as it is possible, this paper is self-contained. The “problems” mentioned in the title are taken in their proper sense of “difficulties”. Thus, the title is pointing towards “philosoper’s difficulties” raised by the computer representation of knowledge. The title should not be read as “philosopher’s comments on an aspect of computer science”.
