Summary/Abstract: There are different communication systems that coexist in the Romanian teaching system and many educational experiments have been undertaken in search for solutions to increasing the efficiency of the teaching-learning process. Teachers working with deaf students have been questioned in this study to find out the communication systems they consider to be efficient and the ones they use in their teaching activity and in communicating with deaf and hard of hearing students.
