Summary/Abstract: The authorship of the first Bosnian-Herzegovinian novel, literary tandem Osman - Aziz, treating current enlightenment-revival themes make, as we point out in the work, an important milestone in the literary activities of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their joint work was not extensive, Ivan Milicevic and Osman Nuri Hadzic were also individual writers, but on this ocassion, it is important to highlight the importance of their work, time and space in which it is being built. In the paper The fictional characters in the historical background of the first Bosnian-Herzegovinian novel Bez nade, by Osman–Aziz, we will try, at least introductory and generally, to refresh the ideological and aesthetic premises of the historical background of the novel Bez nade.
