Summary/Abstract: The paper represents the initial part of a broader study on the literary-historical work of Muhsin Rizvić and his contribution to theory of history of literature, including the role in the constitution of contemporary literary and cultural Bosnian studies. In this part, the paper addresses some of Rizvić’s principled and theoretical notions on Bosniak and Bosnian-Herzegovinian literatures and their relationships and connections, especially in the context of his work Theses for Approach to the Study of Bosnian-Herzegovinian Literature and Some Examples that Reinforce Them. In this connection, the paper points out closeness or compatibility of Rizvić’s notions in the field of theory of history of literature and Dionyz Ďurišin’s theory of interliterary process, on the basis of which the latter author established the nowadays influential and important idea of interliterary history of literature.
