Summary/Abstract: The increasing technological advances in health care also increases the need for the use of computers. Because today web-based learning is becoming increasingly common in terms of both patients and students, the competency to use ICT is becoming a widespread requirement for health education. The aim of this study is to determine students’ ideas studying in School of Health related with their computer and internet usages and the advantages and disadvantages of computer usage in health care.The study design was descriptive and cross-sectional. The study population included 126 students studying in Söke School of Health Adnan Menderes University in Turkey in 2015-2016 academic year. The data was collected by the researcher by using a form which was developed in line with the literature and which consists of two sections. The data collection was performed between September 14th and October 7th. Obtained data were analyzed with descriptive statistical methods.It was determined that 61.9% of the students have computer, 96.8% of the students use computer, 61.1% of the students use computer at home, 91.3% of the students did not take a course related with computer, 57.1% of the students would like to study in a computer dependent environment, 92.1% of the students think that computer usage effects professional career. In addition to that, it was determined that 40.5% of the students use internet for 2-4 hours a day, 69.8% of the students have been using internet for more than 5 years, 61.8% of the students barely use the social media (on need basis). It was determined that students mostly answered the question about the purpose of internet usage as communication. Also, according to major findings from this study, the students reported that the advantages associated with the use of computers in health care settings were more than disadvantages.It was concluded that school of health students have a good level of computer and internet use and they consider to be of more advantage of computer use in health care services. It is suggested to ensure to see as an integral part of the curriculum of computer technology and education of the students studying in departments related to health, to actualize their performances in an environment based on computer applications in order to increase computer competency.
