Summary/Abstract: As students are the key participants in higher education, analysis of binary students’ behaviour contributes to the organisation of a qualitative study process significant to provide students with a high quality degree within higher education. The aim of the research is to carry out mathematical analysis of gap processes underpinning elaboration of a model of binary student behaviour in higher education. The meaning of the key concepts of model and gap is studied. In this work a new model is presented that allows a realistic description of binary student behavior based on gap processes.
